Country Lodge Karatu occupies five landscaped acres on the outskirts of Karatu, between Lake Manyara and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Twelve double cottages contain 24 rooms arranged around the swimming pool. Rooms have king or twin beds, mosquito nets, stone-finished bathrooms, solar hot water, a dressing area, writing desk, sitting area, fireplace and furnished veranda. The main building houses reception, a bar, dining room and lounge with a fireplace. Outdoor dining, gardens, a massage room, gift shop and parking complete the facilities. The lodge grows some of the produce served in its kitchen.
